Chinese shadow puppetry, recognized as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO, combines artistry and storytelling through the manipulation of the puppets behind a translucent screen. This workshop invites participants to delve into the captivating world of shadow puppetry, exploring the history of shadow puppetry. Under instructor guidance, participants will create their own puppets, bringing the enchanting art form to life.

To encourage new students to connect with one another and build friendships through the shared experience of shadow puppet creation, while appreciating the cultural significance of the traditional craft.

Participants are required to submit a refundable deposit of HKD 200 (Cash only), which will be returned upon successful completion of workshop. If the participant cannot attend the workshop, the deposit will be forfeited and used to offset the workshop operation expense.
Interested participants are required to enrol online and complete the deposit payment by visiting Room 203, Shaw Auditorium (Business Hours: 09:30-12:30, 14:00-17:00) before Sep 5, 2025 (Fri) in order to secure their spot.
