School of Humanities and Social Science

Welcome to School of Humanities and Social Science (SHSS).

There will be Peer Mentoring Day, Academic Advising Session, Individual Mentoring Sessions and School Welcoming Dinner to offer useful information and guidance about your program of study and help you plan your progress towards graduation. Faculty members, Student Advising Officers and senior students will be there to answer any questions you may have about your academic study.

ALL Global China Studies (GCS) and Quantitative Social Analysis (QSA) students are expected to attend these activities (except for Individual Mentoring Sessions, which are mandatory activity to GCS students only) and confirm attendance.

2) Collection of Student Card 

Students will be notified by email for the arrangement of Student Card Collection.

GCS Year 1 students
  • Aug 17 (10:00-12:00) Online School Induction (The ZOOM Meeting ID will be sent to students later)
  • Aug 27 (10:00-12:00) Online Academic Advising* (The ZOOM Meeting ID will be sent to students later)
    #Skipping this session might affect your study progress.
  • Sep to Oct (30-min) an individual mentoring session will be arranged for each GCS student. The exact date and time will be sent to students' email accounts individually.
QSA Year 1 students
  • Aug 17 (10:00-12:00) Online School Induction (The ZOOM Meeting ID will be sent to students later)

*Non-local students who arrive before their program's Academic Advising session are welcome to join.
