School of Business and Management

Welcome to the School of Business and Management (SBM), one of the youngest and most respected business schools in Asia.

All Business students (except Biotechnology and Business (BIBU),  Mathematics and Economics (MAEC) & Risk Management and Business Intelligence (RMBI) students who have different schedules listed below) are required to attend the Academic Advising Session, Peer Mentoring Program and School Welcome and Orientation.

2) Collection of Student Card 

Students will be notified by email for the arrangement of Student Card Collection.

3) Academic Advising (Compulsory)

All new business students will be invited by email to attend a specific session. BIBU, MAEC & RMBI students will have specific sessions listed below.

Senior year entry students
  • Jul 31 Fri (14:00-17:00) via ZOOM*
    The above advising session includes a 1-hour peer mentoring program and a 1-hour credit transfer information session.

    *The ZOOM meeting ID will be sent to your HKUST ITSC account and personal email.
JUPAS students
  • Aug 17 Mon (09:30-11:30 / 11:00-13:00 / 14:00-16:00 / 15:30-17:30) via ZOOM*
    Student will be invited by email to attend one of the above 2-hour academic advising session and peer mentoring program.

    *The ZOOM meeting ID will be sent to your HKUST ITSC account and personal email.
Non-JUPAS students
  • Jul 31 Fri (14:00-16:00) via ZOOM* OR
  • Aug 26 Wed (11:00-13:00) via ZOOM*
    The above advising sessions include a 1-hour peer mentoring program.

BIBU students only
  • Aug 17 Mon (14:30-16:30) via ZOOM*

4) Peer Mentoring Program (Compulsory)

All new business students will be invited by email to attend a specific session as detailed above.

5) School Welcome and Orientation (Compulsory)

For all new business students (including MAEC & RMBI students)#

Date: Sept 3 Thu via ZOOM*
Time: 14:00-14:45 (Please login to the ZOOM meeting ID at 13:45)

Students who are admitted to SBM programs will be invited to attend an orientation organized by your program. More details will be provided by program.

# BIBU students will join the School Orientation organized by School of Science on Sept 2 (Wed).
